RIP Doc Nock
« on: May 28, 2021, 03:18:13 PM »
I don't know if you all saw this on a different forum, but Dave Landis (Doc Nock) passed away earlier this week. He had been battling cancer for some time.

I sure am going to miss him. RIP, Doc.

Very sad.  He was fun to be around at the old archery shoots at Standing Stone.  RIP buddy.

Oh man I had no idea!  :(

Dave was a great part of this forum.Always had commentary for everything and was always a regular.

He's passed on to the eternal hunting lands and will be missed here.

I just seen that he passed on Leatherwall Traditional archery forum while reading of a good friend who also passed. This is surely a lose to the forum as i enjoyed his posts and the back and forth PM’s we shared. I was lucky to have meet Dave at a Traditional archery shoot in Pa. I was new to the sport and was introduced to him by my mentors who knew Dave. We talked for some time and never seen him again. The coulpe who i went to the shoot with told me what a great guy he is and i knew from talking to him he was one of the good guys. This is a sad day but i’m glad i had a chance to meet both gentlemen.

RIP Dave, going to miss you and until we meet again…Keep your powder dry…
