I surely cannot answer your question as you'd want, but a friend visited here 2 yrs ago and shared some 250 REAL in 50 and I had cast some 325 and tried shooting both...

The 325s didn't print well outa my GPR at all with the 1:66 twist, but the 250's did easily as well as the PRBs...

I'd say you're on the right track..

I still haven't found the exact load I want, or the exact patch material to get GREAT accuracy but I'm wondering if I'll ever find such with my eyesight?  But last year, I can attest that I saw considerable difference in group size at 50 yards with the 250s vs. 325s

Either lee needs a card/wad over powder for optimum accuracy ,the heavier does not shoot well lite/moderate charges ! My accuracy load in my 1-48 Hawken barrel is 105-110 grain of OE 2F with excellent accuracy to 150 yds . My eyes are tired but I appreciate an accurate gun ,mine wears a 2-7 Leupold /Ed :thumbs:
