hazmat and shipping fees - this is why you buy in lots of 25lbs, either all for you or in a group buy.

have you ever noticed that most anything connected to firearms in the USA sooner or later winds up getting tariffed, taxed or made illegal?  i wonder why?  >:(

Up way more early then I like on Sunday's, so it likely makes me crankier then usual, but in regard to Rob's comment, YES, Ive NOTICED but I don't wonder why...

In my limited view its that quickly become the American view point where, "IF I don't like it or want to do it, then it should be outlawed!", but then as I said, perhaps I'm just feeling cranky this morning!  :P ::)

Thanks everyone, yes not many places want to stock black powder now. They've evidently made it so much trouble that its not worth their trouble. A fear years ago a friend of mine picked a pound up for me and they recorded all of his identification so there is a record of the individuals they sold to. It's a crazy world we live in for sure.

Thanks on the Dixon's info, I'd like to take a trip there someday anyway and could get many things that I plan on getting.

I just bought 5# of Swiss 3F from "powderinc.com".....that order will arrive tomorrow via ups...

It is never cheap (due to hazmat fees)...however 5 pounds (in addition to the four pounds I have) will do me for a spell.   :wavey:
