Only way to cope is to buy ample supply of GOOP and reattach the soles... We used to buy felt sole kits and use BARGE cement to affix them to our worn down hip boots

NOW, they took the good fixative outa the BARGE (years ago) to protect idjut "Huffers" who got brain damage from sniffing the glue to get High...

Seems to me you'd have to already be brain damaged to do that!!! :(
