Going to start this cheek piece carving next week. I have some fine tuning to do to the drawing before I start. Looking at pictures help you see where things need attention.

Well its only taken 2 and a half days but here is the cheek piece and wrist carving completed except for final sanding and clean up. I have big plans for this rifle!

Finished the carving at the rear entry thimble. Still have one side to tye in the molding down the barrel at this carving and clean up.

Finished the stock carving today and raised the grain. All I have left to carve is the patch box lid. Also blued the barrel today and rubbed it back to a nice dark gray. Im going to rub it back just a bit more.

That is lovely... do like the bbl finish, too.. Once you're done, perhaps you'd share how you did the bbl blueing and rubbing?  Me likey :thumbs:
