My Dad called me and told me about this.  I breathed a sign of relief when I checked my Great Plains Rifle and my Deerstalker.  The GPR is a 5939# and my Deerstalker is 5942#.

That's great news, B!

I was pretty happy mine was well out of the range too...I think mine was also a 593 series

I read a post on another site where the guy's breech broke free and he had to pry it outa the tang and returned it all to Lyman...when he called, they said they'd never heard of it before so he thinks his may have opened the door to this issue... They even then sent him a full replacement, but unfortunately, being he was the "early bird" the gun they sent as a replacement was in the recall SN series!  :P  Fortunately for him, he suffered NO injuries.  He said the material looked like pot metal where it broke...very porous.

Lyman has been sending out email with their recall notice to some buyers, which speaks highly of their CS!

As recalls go that was a rather short sequence of SNs. I think they found and fixed the issue rather quickly... One chap I read about had the back end of his gun come apart and he believed the way Lyman acted, it was their first and soon after the recall came...

Great news all the above posted good #s and no problems it seems
