rabbit season is here till March
« on: January 01, 2018, 09:23:07 AM »
so here in Mass its Rabbit season and I'm really thinking about bringing the fowler out maybe the 20ga Pedersoli double to keep a ball loaded in barrel #2 for the coyotes..

want to start a campfire  :camp: to muster up some motivation from you late frigid season bunny hunters  because right now its -15 below  here in New England..  we have urban type areas here so I'm thinking about hitting the power lines and walking the edges,,,,, MAYBE sit for a bit and blow on the coyote call because they are in season too!!!!

muzzleloader doe ends tomorrow in RI so I'm headed there for now but thinking about making a creamy rabbit with dumplings in the dutch oven soon..

Happy New Year Everyone :wavey:

Guess no deer yesterday?

Have to buy special permit to hunt WMA's here for small game...one near me, (WMA) I've been all over it 5 times and not moved a hair or hare or deer sign one enough to go back...

May the 2017-18 season rest in peace...

There's some rabbit hunting in this video with my 12ga fowler. My dog Mickey was a retriever

Ron, that's a great little video "short."  Thanks for posting.  I enjoyed it.

In the video you touched on something that I'm sure a lot of us feel...if we could not get out and hunt, it would just take something out of us.  In the second "Primal Dreams" video, Gene Wensel also talks about this a bit and stumbles a little on his words because I think it's something that is just hard to explain in a way that those who don't feel it would understand.  I know I have to spend some time outdoors EVERY day or I just feel like I really missed something.  If I'm not hunting, I'm walking my dogs on a country road, or stump shooting with my longbow....something.
